Our most frequently asked questions and answers
This activity takes place at Driver Wood Activity Centre, a 30-acre woodland site located on Old Hollow, just outside Copthorne, near Crawley. The full address is: Driver Wood Activity Centre, Old Hollow, Copthorne, Crawley, RH10 4TA. Easily accessible from the M23 and Gatwick Airport, with free parking on-site.
Dress for the weather in comfortable clothing and wear sturdy boots or old trainers. We advise you to bring gloves for paintball and airsoft games as getting shot in the fingers can hurt. Don’t worry, if you forget your gloves you can purchase them from our onsite shop. They cost £7 each or two pairs for £12. They are not required to play.
Top Tip: Masks Steaming Up?
Outdoor activities at our site is like being at the gym. This means you have to dress with this in mind.
You wouldn’t run on a treadmill while wearing a coat.
The best way to stop fog is to remove thick cloths. This includes coats, hoodies & jumpers. Jeans are also a big no no.
We provide all our customers with anti-fog masks and overalls but they can only handle so much. If you are dripping with sweat, no mask in the world will help.
We ask everyone to book. This allows us to prepare equipment prior to your arrival. The booking system automatically disables it’s self the day before the event you can call 01293 882 806 to find out if we have availability.
Please see our T&C page for more information.
Safety is important to us. We have highly trained marshalls that run your session. They are there to run the games and show you how to use the equipment correctly. They are also there to make sure you keep safe throughout your activity.
Some players will only use 50 paintballs a game, other players will be more aggressive and shoot 200 paintballs a game. All our paintballs come in tubes of 100 and it is down to the player or party organiser to share/use as they see fit. Our all inclusive package allow players to shoot 67 paintball a game based on 6 games. You can purchase more if required on the day. Empty tubes are also available near the check in area.
Our car park has very limited capacity, so car sharing is mandatory for all groups wherever possible.
Parking is provided for the duration of your booked activity, plus up to 30 minutes afterwards for food, refreshments or birthday cake.
To ensure parking remains available for guests attending later sessions, all vehicles and group members must leave the site within 30 minutes of their activity ending.
While some areas of the field are visible from our designated Safe Zone, we kindly ask that those without wristbands remain in the safe area at all times for insurance purposes.
We ask at least one person to stay behind and supervise children before their session, on their breaks between games and after the session has finished. The marshals on site are only there to run games, for safety and to maintain equipment and cannot look after your children. Please ensure you have enough adults on site to control the children before, between and after your session.
Sorry no. We do not allow dogs on site as some of our customers are scared of them. It can also be quite distressing for the dog to be in a very busy area with loud bangs.
We have a large covered seating area with picnic benches, free wi-fi, plug sockets, onsite cafè where you can purchase freshly prepared meals or ground coffee, restaurant-quality toilets and a large car park.

In our experience, some guests on the autism spectrum may find activities like Paintball and Airsoft Beginners challenging due to the:
Large groups
Fast-paced nature
Loud noises
We have found that Laser Tag is often the best-suited activity for these players as it generally has less intense noise and can be more flexible in terms of pace.
